Student Waiver & Release of Liability
FU Driving School: Student Waiver & Release of Liability
1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I understand that operating a motor vehicle involves inherent risks, including the risk of property damage, personal injury, or death. These risks can be caused by the student’s actions, the actions of other drivers, or road conditions. I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) in these lessons with full knowledge of these risks.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the Student and/or Parent/Guardian hereby release, waive, and discharge FU Driving School, its instructors, and employees from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action related to:
Physical injury or property damage occurring during a lesson.
The student’s failure to obtain a driver’s license.
Traffic violations or citations incurred while the student is behind the wheel.
3. Insurance and Responsibility
School Coverage: FU Driving School maintains the required liability insurance per California DMV regulations.
Student Requirements: The student must have a valid California Instruction Permit in their possession during every lesson.
Personal Vehicles: If a student provides their own vehicle for a DMV test or lesson, they must provide proof of valid registration and California-compliant insurance.
4. Medical Consent
In the event of an emergency during a lesson, I authorize FU Driving School to seek medical treatment for the student. I agree to be responsible for any costs associated with such medical care.
5. Safe Conduct Policy
The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson immediately, without a refund, if the student:
Appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Is wearing improper footwear (e.g., flip-flops or high heels).
Acts in a way that endangers the instructor, the public, or themselves.
6. Acceptance of Terms
By completing this purchase and checking the “I Agree” box at checkout, I certify that I am the student (if 18 or older) or the parent/legal guardian of the student. I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
